Information gathered from a close source suggest that, as part of the package for emerging as winner for Vodafone Icons, the winner has the opportunity to request a possible collabo with an artiste of their choice; of which Chris happily chose Sonnie (since it has been his long-time dream to record with Sonnie). Arguably one of the ‘most successful’ Ghanaian Gospel artiste and based in UK, Sonnie has never recorded with any Ghanaian artiste and perhaps as a more concrete evidence to the doubting Thomas’, Sonnie reiterated with another post on his Instagram saying “Very proud of my new son @icons_chris , we have finally finished the single #OTEGA , trust me on this , God judy blessed us with this one.. It’s been great mentoring you son!! I pray that this song becomes a stepping stone for U!! I am here for u !! #BaduNation #BaduEmpire #BaduAfrika #BaduWorld #BaduFrika #BaduDiary #classicAfrica #BaduEndorsed.. He happens to be the first Ghanaian I have ever recorded with”
OTEGA is ready !! We can’t wait for U to hear it .. A photo posted by BADUFRIKA (@sonniebaduuk) on
The track; ‘Otega’ which could obviously become the most anticipated Gospel track in recent times was recorded by one of our very best Francis Osei at Groove House Studio. Francis himself took time to share some snippets from this project on his Facebook, including a short video from the ‘BRASS SECTION’.
