NACEE IS A MUSICIAN NOT A GOSPEL ARTIST – Arnold Asamoah

Arnold Asamoah Baidoo the publicist of Nacee, has stated that his artiste is a “musician” and not only limited to gospel music. He made this clear as a panelist on the Christian Entertainment Review on Sunny FM, Saturday morning.
His comment which may come as a surprise to many was made in response to a question by host, Odelia, on what Nacee really is; a gospel artiste or not.
According to him, Nacee is a a creative musician and not a gospel musician, adding that some people perceive him as a high life singer whilst others consider him a Gospel Singer.
The comment by Arnold sheds more light on the ongoing debate about whether Nacee is a Gospel artiste or not, although the singer has noted on several platforms he is not limited to a particular genre.
Recently, the singer has come under heavy criticism for his collaboration with secular artiste Guru on hit single ‘Boys Boys’.
Nacee is not new to such controversy however, after releasing ‘Onaapo Attention’; a gospel rendition of controversial hit song ‘Onaapo’ for 2016 general elections. He was criticised for making light of gospel music with such a politicised song but the musician defended himself saying it was a creative decision.
Speaking on his latest work with Guru, Arnold revealed that the track, ‘Boys Boys’ is on Nacee’s second album, Counsellor 2 which will be released in a few months time.
He was optimistic that the album has songs that will counsel people just like pastors like Dag Heward-Mills and others do from the pulpit.
