Ever green and sensational trio, Daughters of Glorious Jesus have been ordained as minsters of the word at their church, Resurrection Power and Living Bread Ministry, Kotobabi, Accra, Ghana.
“The Lord is just taking us from one dimension to another dimension and we still remain Daughters of Glorious Jesus” they said.
Many musicians were there to support their colleagues including Willie and Mike, Uncle Ato, Mary Ghansah and others.
The trio – Cynthia, Edna and Monica – who were consecrated and ordained as pastors on Yesterday, (September 18, 2016)12 later in an interview with Giovanni on Starr Drive said: “Through our music we are winning souls, touching lives and bringing people to the kingdom of God and our bishop felt the need for us to be consecrated as Pastors and this is not going to change anything about us”
Cynthia – a member of the trio also took time to advice colleagues not to rush to come out with albums cos rushing through an album does not produce the best.
“As a gospel musician you don’t rush, you don’t have to allow yourself to be pressurised by people to come out with an album, you take your time, pray for God’s direction and you come out. We are currently working on an album, as you know we don’t rush to come out with albums, we take our time to work and those who buy our songs know it has a message and touches lives,” she said.
This trio of songbirds comprise of two sisters and a friend. It is made up of Cynthia Appiadu , Edna Sarpong, and Monica Owusu Ansah. Cynthia, the youngest, writes and composes most of the songs of the group, and is the lead singer as well.
They started as part of their church’s choir until the General Overseer of the Church, Bishop Akwasi Asare Bediako, saw their potential and encouraged them to form a group. From then on, they ministered at various church crusades and conventions.
