Popular Ghanaian musician OJ is rooting for Joe Mettle to be named Artiste of the Year at the 2017 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).

The event is slated for Saturday 8th April at the Accra International Conference Centre.

In all, six artistes – EL, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Joe Mettle, MzVee, and Medikal – are vying for the topmost prize at the event.

Speaking as a guest on Ayekoo Ayekoo, Accra100.5FM’s mid-morning show hosted by Nana Romeo, on Thursday April 6, the Obi Nya Wo Aye singer said he would like to see Joe Mettle annex the award.

He said: “I would want Joe Mettle to win, but it will be difficult for him. I know with God all things are possible, but humans can scheme to overturn things. Human manipulation can subvert the will of the people and so it will be difficult.”
