The versatile young lady who owes an album (Oh Jesus), written in Twi and Dagbani, shared her successful experience with GospelGh and said;
“I had admission to do my PhD in April, 2010 and my headache was how to pay for the school fees because i had just started lecturing at the University of Ghana only a year ago. That meant that i had not completed my 2yr probation and thus did not qualify for any financial support.  So i decided to apply the divine connection for a miracle.
I prayed and beseeched the heavens for favor as i applied for any scholarship i came across. So in May,2010 i had a call to come pick up my scholarship letter from the GETFUND. My joy was indescribable.
A month later, I gave birth and had to defer, until my baby was a bit older. In the care of my spouse and mum, I left my child for the UK to start the PhD journey in management at the university of Southhampton. I cried throughout the flight because I had to leave my baby (breastfeeding) since I couldn’t afford childcare in the UK. It was really tough.
So this is how my PhD journey began. It has not been easy, going through mountains, valleys, rocky roads, but it’s been worth it as I had to be moving in out of Ghana to care for my 3Holy ninjas and at the same time keep up the academic pace.

My husband has been phenomenal in all this, he wasn’t just caring for the children, but he encouraged and urged me on when I got frustrated with my supervisors. In early 2014, I submitted and passed my viva (oral defense) of my PhD. I was awarded the PhD in 11 September, 2014. And on 16 July, 2015 I attended my award ceremony.
From the entire GospelGh family,  we congratulate and celebrate Weigewor, and pray this just becomes a stepping stone, to greater heights.
