Proudly sitting at number 10 of gospel Innovation’s world top 20 gospel chart for the month of March 2014 is the Ghanaian contemporary gospel musician, Akesse Brempong’s hit track ‘Crazy Love’.

Gospel innovation, a UK based global gospel media company championing innovative ways of spreading the gospel through music and the arts listed ‘Crazy Love’ as one of the top 20 gospel songs in the world.

The list released through gospel Innovations website www.gospelinnovation.com places Akesse Brempong amongst gospel greats like Donnie McClurkin, Kari Jobe, James Fortune, William McDowell, Jamie Grace etc. making Akesse Brempong the only African artiste on the list of gospel musicians whose songs are making giant strides.

Crazy love, the scintillating reggae banger released on 14th February last year features Qhakra and was produced by Kwame Keys the South African based Ghanaian producer extraordinaire. The song speaks of the depth of God’s Love for humanity and Gods ability to love us out of our mess. Crazy love earned the young artiste two nominations in the Ghana Gospel Industry Awards (GGIA2013) and the 4Syte Music Video Award 2013.

“I feel blessed! The thing is, No one sets out to write a hit song, to record a hit track or to shoot a hit video. You simply can’t guarantee that any song would be a hit. It is just a blessing that God would reward our obedience and diligence in such a way.

“God has great stuff in store for us. Look, I’m not the only Ghanaian artiste who has been on gospel Innovation’s top 20 list, my big brother Cwesi Oteng was on the list just last year, and it goes to prove that Ghana is ready to take on the world...I’m looking forward to seeing Joe Mettle, Eugene Zuta, Nana Yaw Boakye, Jeshurun Okyere, Denzel, Isaiah Jnr. Boadiwaa and a lot more of us on the top 20 list soon.””

Meanwhile, Akesse is deep into preparations for the release of his debut album 'Songs in the Night'.

The album release concert comes off on Sunday 6th April at the Pentecost International Worship Centre – Dansoman SSNIT flats at 4:00pm. Akesse will be joined in concert by contemporary gospel giants Eugene Zuta and Cwesi Oteng.
