O' Jesus, O'Jesus. Your presence is heaven to me. Indeed Jesus's presence is and was heaven to us on Sunday the 24th of August 2014,
August Worship dubbed O' Jesus by Jeshrun Okyere and the Love Creed was scheduled for this day. I must say that this year's edition was a much improvement in terms of the start time as compared to last year's. I salute the organisers for a good job on that. As at 4:00pm everything was set, stage, sound checks, projection team, media etc. O' Jesus started exactly around 4: 35pm. By this time the whole conference center was filled to capacity with willing souls wanting to just give absolute worship to God.
A great number of people had also queued waiting to enter. The enthusiasm of the audience was just awesome. Minister Kobby Mantey started the whole ministration package with some familiar worship tunes paving the way for an awesome praise session which was led by the Praise Gem himself Minister Quesie Boate. Indeed the whole atmosphere was on fire with awesome praises and the youth spared no moments. They really exhibited their talents and strengths with wonderful dance steps during this session.
Ghana's versatile tv presenter Jeremy was the MC for the prog. She took on the stage and introduced Boadiwaa who took the audience into another realm of worship.
Africa's Discovery of the year winner, Akesse Brempong led the audience in some reggae session with some of his popular songs including hit song " Crazy Love" . Infact at this time i was in awe at the massive turn out. All the ailes were filled and the forecourt.After Akesse, Jeremy herself got on stage and gave a great testimony about the turn around in her life about Christ and how Christ has come into her life. Her testimony was indeed great.
She then introduced Pastor Chinello from Nigeria. I need not speak much about her ministration. In short this lady Pastor is gifted, annointed and carries God's presence in her powerful voice.
Pastor Eric Xexemeku from ICGC led the house to raise sum funds to help support the Jeshrun Okyere Global Outreach (JOGO)
At this time Jeshrun and the love creed were on stage. They were just radient and colourful with great designs. They ministered quiet a number of their own tunes and with choreography at some point.
Minister Jim Emmit led the love creed in some awesome local worship tunes after which we had some chain worship tunes with leads from the crew and Jeshrun at some point.
Pastor Paul Amoako from Kingdom International Ministries together with the crew led the audience to do what i termed as the shout offertory. This session was soul soothing.
Nathaniel Bassey from Nigeria the main attraction for the night led the audience in some instrumental worship with the trumpet, as well as his own songs, the one that blew my mind was Imela. He ministered it with a fine twist. He then made an alter Call and ended his ministration and the evening with some wonderful tunes.
I must say Nathaniel Bassey is a minister with that Calm Aura. There was something unexplainable which I know is God's hand about him.
There were sum few hitches with sound and also I personally think the Conference Centre was not a good choice owing to the publicity that was made and the audience that turned out. The organisors can look into this going forward.
In conclusion I believe strongly that all who made it can attest to it that indeed the presence of God visited his people and for sure August Worship 2014, the O'Jesus experience was a great success. Kudos to all who made it a reality.
