Urban gospel artiste, Emmanuel Yoofi Esuman Mensah popularly known as Kingzkid has disclosed that he almost lost his life at the Accra Mall after his return from the Young Adult Beach Camp at ADA.

In a post on Facebook, he narrated the incident as follows;

Hi my name is Kingzkid. I’m an urban gospel artiste.

On the 19th of August, I COULD have LOST my LIFE to MOB VIOLENCE..
I was invited as a special guest at a young adults beach camp at ADA.. On my way back in the evening, I had to pass by the Accra Mall because I was getting picked up by a friend.

Unfortunately my phone went off so couldn’t communicate with the person
So I ended up walking around the mall to find this person. Eventually I did and we stood there for a bit talking with the Mall cops urging them to keep their eyes on our car which had an issue..

Out of no where, this lady shows up and starts screaming , “That’s the guy” “That’s the guy”. Another person screams “Mom bonu (which means let’s beat him up)”.

Out of no where, Men and women came rushing in with sticks and whatever they could find to beat up or possibly kill a “phone thief”… unknown to me her phone had been stolen a few minutes before I got there… this lady could swear I was the thief!

She even insisted that I had gone to change my clothes after stealing the phone.. You should have seen the rage on the people’s faces and the evil in their eyes… ready to beat me up…

But for the saving Grace of Jesus Christ…it would have been too late by the time you heard it… Someone else could have lost their lives.

That day I realized how many innocent people have been falsely accused and might possibly have lost their lives for a crime they didn’t commit! I forgive that lady wherever she is…. But Today I urge you,

STOP MOB VIOLENCE!The presumption of innocence, is the principle that one is considered innocent unless proven guilty. Even when someone is a suspect, you are not the Law! THIS COULD HAPPEN TO ANY ONE!

STOP TAKING PEOPLE’s lives into your hands! Let the law have its cause! STOP MOB ACTION! LET LOVE LEAD! Jesus still rules!

Kingzkid who has shared the stage with great musicians like lionel Peterson from South Africa , America Micah Stampley, Ohemaa Mercy, Ceccy Twum is yet to release the video of his single ‘ shoe shine’
