Thirty years after they hit the gospel trail, the Tagoe Sisters have not looked back, and they continue to share their experiences with people all over the world who are affected by their music in different ways.

They indicate that their music is not only a source of inspiration, it has helped in transforming society recounting how a prostitute who was soliciting for clients at Kwame Nkrumah Circle, gave her life to Christ during one of their outreach evangelism through song ministration.

“In the 90s there was a crusade where this call girl was bargaining with a prospective client and upon hearing our song ministration, immediately gave her life to Christ. She was even pregnant and later gave birth”, they revealed on Kasapa Entertainment.

“People meet us and openly confess how our songs have changed their lives. Others said they almost committed suicides but for some of the songs we minister. When we hear some of these admissions we feel fulfilled that indeed our intention to win souls for Christ has been achieved”, they added.

The twin sisters bemoaned the poor quality of gospel music churned out lately indicating that there is a lot the country’s gospel musicians will have to learn and improve on what they do.

“There is no power in the music they do. It is rather more of lamentations rather than food for the soul that will help people change their lifestyles”, they noted.

Lydia Dedei Yawson nee Tagoe and Elizabeth Korkoi Tagoe have released their latest album Adonai.
