After a two 2 year cessation, multiple award-winning gospel musician, Ohemaa Mercy has unveiled the second edition of her “Tehillah Experience” concert.

The event is billed to happen at the ICGC CALVARY TEMPLE, Spintex Road on the 2nd of August 2015 and is themed “THE SHOFAR AND THE ARK EXPERIENCE”.

Speaking at a press launch held at the Silver Lounge, Accra Mall, this week, Rev. Boadi Nyamekye took a while to explain the theme. “The ‘Ark’ represents the presence of God and the ‘Shofar’ represents the Victory and Provision made available when it blasted” he said.

“The main idea is to unite Christians from all over the nation in one extravagant spirit filled worship experience that will leave an indelible mark in the hearts and minds of all attendees” he added.

The team took the opportunity to brief the media on various activities Ohemaa Mercy’s Ministry has engaged in over the period. This included prisons ministry and an educational institution (The Queen’s International School) to be set up in Koforidua. According to Ohemaa, ministry and music will be essential parts of the institution and will also serve as a grounds to help groom up and coming artistes who she mentors.

It was revealed that this years “TEHILLAH” will be focused mainly on worship. This is because according to management, Ohemaa has not been known too well for her worship side and this event is looking at exposing that side of her.

The “Wob3y3 k3se” hit singer said Christians have for a long time underestimated the significance of worship but was hopeful of its revival.

This year’s event will feature other top celebrated artistes such as Danny Nettey, Joe Mettle, Cece Twum, Cecelia Marfo, Kojo Tuffour and Francis Amo.

THE TEHILLA EXPERENCE

Tehillah is a Hebrew word literally translated as singing a melody from your heart, especially hymns of the spirit. During Tehillah, the Holy Spirit is released to do mighty miracles in the life of His people.

This year’s “TEHILLAH” according to management, will introduce amazing surprises to enhance the worship experience. This includes a Live Orchestra performance to bring variation in the ministrations.   Another unique feature pointed out for this years’ experience is the presence of a man of God (Dr. Boadi Nyamekye) whose role would be to speak the mind of God to the audience/nation after worship has ascended unto our glorious King.

Another great feature with this year’s Tehillah is that it will have other editions even outside Accra. There actually will be two editions in Accra alone; first is on 8th August and the second one which is hinted to feature an international artiste in December. Other editions will be held in Oboasi (on 16th August) and Techiman (in September).

“This is not just any concert but one that would sow the seed of passion to adore our Creator even in the most difficult times in our lives. Tehillah Experience is one of the means to reach out to many who have lost hope in life,” she stated.

Ohemaa Mercy continued that this year’s “Tehillah Experience 2015” will be full of worship to exalt God for the wonderful things He has done. “Because of our God’s unimaginable generosity towards us, He chooses to respond to us through our worship. This we need in this nation, hence me choosing worship for this year’s Tehilla.”

The official song for this year’s “Tehillah Experience 2015” by Ohemaa Mercy will be released soon as we count down for the main concert from August 2 which in itself will also be a build towards the release of her latest album for 2015/2016.

“We want to raise a standard that will defuse the myth that excellent live recording for a Christian event cannot be attained in this part of the world” said Andrew Lartey.
