Gospel musician Jak Alolome has endorsed His Excellency John Dramani Mahama ahead of all the Presidential Candidates running for the highest seat of the country in this year’s General elections.
Jak Alolome made this pronouncement during the Western Region’s NDC Campaign launch over the weekend in the Ellembele Constituency. According to the gospel musician, he sees the second victory of the President of Ghana His Excellency John Dramani Mahama. He claimed that, the President is a God sent and God is going to renew his mandate come December 7, 2016.
Flex newspaper called Jak Alolome to confirm what he meant by what he said on the campaign launch of the National Democratic Congress, and he intimated that he said that by considering the good work the President has done.
“Isn’t the President a Ghanaian, so what is wrong if I endorse him? Well, tell Ghanaians I have endorsed President Mahama and will any day and any time endorse him. He deserves his second term. Massa, I have really traveled across the length and breadth of this country and I can tell you that Ghana under the management of His Excellency John Mahama is wonderful. As I am speaking to you, I am in the Western Region, come and see development,” he said.
“A friend of mine just came from abroad and he confessed to me, he feels, he is in a different world. Almost all the roads in Western Region have been asphalted and some of them are still under construction. You know what? Ghana is not only in Accra and Kumasi and so if you sit there and claim President Mahama has done nothing, then you are deceiving yourself. Go round the country and look at the wonderful projects the President has done and is doing. In fact, I can say on authority that, when President Mahama is given another four years to govern this country, this country will never be the same,” Alolome further expressed.
When this reporter asked him about his presence on the platform of the New Patriotic Party during their fund raising in Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium where he had dressed in NPP colours, Jak Alolome had this to say, he said he was not a member of the NPP or the NDC.
“My boss, I am not an NPP member and neither am I an NDC member. For Christ sake, I am a gospel musician and I can be invited to all political platforms. But with this one, I was called by the General Secretary of the Ashanti Regional branch of the NPP Mr. Sampam to perform for them as a musician. I want to emphasize that my vote is for John Dramani Mahama, the man has done a lot and deserves to retain the seat. It is God who makes Kings and I know in this election, God will choose him for this country again,” Jak Alolome prophesied.
