BASS CLINIC VI – THE ULTRA EDITION

In 2009, the most sought after music seminar in West Africa dubbed “Bass Clinic” was birthed by one of the most outstanding Bass players and entrepreneur Opoku Agyemang Sanaa.
The maiden edition saw a turn up of about 150 people only. The vision of the music clinic was to equip and train gospel musicians (singers, instrumentalists, event organizers, producers etc.)
Bass Clinic is a Christian music clinic which brings musicians and individuals together from all over Ghana and beyond. It seeks to educate, train, unearth talents and entertain participants. The Clinic has grown in recognition, organization and audience base.
The name “Bass Clinic” was adopted for this event because it was birthed by a bass player. It has grown over the years to become one of the most educative, entertaining and informative gathering of musicians in Africa.
In 2012, the event saw an attendance of about 1200 people. Among these were renowned musicians and bands including Sonnie Badu, Cwesi Oteng, Joe Mettle, Eugene Zuta, Kofi Emmanuel(Osibisa UK), Manu Falla(Benin) etc. Since then, it was good to say “Bass Clinic is indeed here to stay”. People who attended left the event with lots of information and ideas.
The previous edition saw an attendance of about 2000 people. With its workshop, split session and jam session, Bass Clinic has equipped and given many opportunities to different musicians and bands to perform and display their talents.
This year’s edition is scheduled to be held on the 13th of February, 2016 at the Tesano Baptist Church. Resource Persons include some of Ghana’s Renowned Musicians and Producers which include ace musician Joe Mettle, Cwesi Oteng, Reuel Kofi Dartey (Canada), Ace Ankomah, David “Kaywa” Kyei and internationally acclaimed Music Director Mr Isaac Aryee.
