WORSHIPFUL WITH NII OKAI LIVE IN LONDON

Nii Okai, one of Ghana’s favorite and respected worship musicians is taking the ‘Mokobe experience’ to London.
The ‘Mokobe man’ is visiting the International Praise Centre, Wakefield House – 72 KATHERINE ROAD East Ham, E6 1EN London on Saturday, 8th of November, 2014; leading them in a night of psalms, hymns and spiritual songs dubbed ‘Worshipful’ as part of activities marking the dedication of their church auditorium.
“Mokobe” (translated as ‘there is none’), is one of the few timeless gospel songs which continue to remain on the lips of both the young and old across the globe.
Should you ask anyone to tell you something about the song Mokobe, you would be fed with nothing else but a heartwarming testimony like one shared by Shyam, a Sri Lankan- music director at the LAIF Church in Kuwait during Nii’s visit to the church last year:
“Mokobe has a heavenly dialect- what everyone can understand. It speaks to each and every one who listens to the song.”- he testified. The testimonies remain countless.
Mokobe won the best video award at the Ceval Gospel awards in 2006 and has been nominated for several other awards.
Nii Okai wrote this song based on his wilderness experience, a period when he lost his dad while in Benin for a year abroad programme. It is the first of his four albums.
Nii keeps adding up to the repertoire of songs for the body of Christ through the Holy Spirit and is working on a new album currently.
To thank God for a decade of blessing numerous lives with the song Mokobe, Nii Okai and his team are embarking on a project dubbed the Saving Hearts Project in collaboration with the Ghana Heart Foundation to save the lives of ten needy children, under ten years across the ten regions of Ghana.
They are currently touring some selected cities of Ghana to help raise funds for the heart surgeries. The team has successfully toured Kumasi and Takoradi and will be visiting the Freedom Gospel Church International, Koforidua on Sunday October 26, 2014.
