There was music, food and lot of fun as the Watered Garden Church, a Charismatic ministry over the weekend launched its annual celebration of Christ dubbed "JESUS FESTIVAL".
With a medical and Christian outreach to the people of Dansoman and its environs, the church led by its General Overseer, Prophet Atsu Manasseh, embarked on a soul winning train after which they feted the Dansoman community to a special buffet.
The launch was a prelude to the annual festival celebrated by the church every year in October. The theme for this years edition is “SOUL HARVEST”. The launch saw a number of activities including Evangelism, Health Screening and Pre-Jesus Festival bash with losts of eating and drinking.

Speaking to the media, Rev. John Asubonteng, Resident Pastor of Watered Garden noted that this was actually a pre event towards the main event which is the Jesus Festival 2014, where the church celebrates the work, the word and the Spirit of Jesus. "So this is more like a pre event bash and just celebrating what Christ has done” he said.

He added that the annual event seeks to honour the Lord Jesus and to show the churchs commitment to obeying the great commission. He also noted that apart from celebrating Jesus, this season is a time used by the church to reach out to the community and help the deprived in society by donating cash and kind to selected orphanages within Accra.
Rev. Asubonteng was upbeat about the the impact of the Jesus Festival with particular reference to the mega crusade the church will be staging. On the 30th and 31st of October, we are hosting a mega crusade at the Dansoman Roundabout with popular tele-evangelist Rev. Dr. Robert Ampiah Kwofi and other seasoned men of God.”
On his part, Daniel Tawiah, Co-Ordinator of the Jesus Festival stated that, “Aside the normal evening services and crusade, we are hosting an awesome time of Praise and Worship on the 1st of November at 6pm prompt. A lot of musicians are going to pass through and it just promises to be an awesome time in the presence of God.”
Some musicians and groups billed to be on board include Joe Mettle Em'Praise, Overflow Inc., Jervis and the Worshippers, The Radiance and host choir, the Ever Flourishing Choir.

The Jesus Festival kicked off on Monday, 27th October through to Sunday, 2nd November 2014. The time is 9am for Monday the 27th and 6pm for the rest of the days with Sunday the 2nd of November being the climax with a joint service at 8am.
