The Sonnie Badu foundation and Smarttys Management has donated an amount of ten thousand Ghana cedis to some 24 victims of the June 3 fire and flood disaster.
The foundation which is fronted by Ghanaian gospel musician, Sonnie Badu, set up a relief fund to raise an ambitious amount of USD 50,000.00 to support and take care of the victims of the disaster which saw the death of over 150 residents of Accra, Ghana.
The fund, dubbed Rising Above The Flood-Ghana could not be realized but Sonnie Badu and his management, Smarttys still come through for the victims.
The victims who received the items were drawn from the Police and Ridge hospitals. They comprise, burnt and fire victims’, survivors who lost their jobs and the third categories are relatives who lost a family member through the disaster.
Victims expressed their gratitude to Sonnie Badu and Smarttys for remembering and looking out for them.
The donation was made on Badu’s behalf by the General Manager of Smarttys Management & Productions.
