Sanaa nominated for 2016 BEFFTA Awards

Ghanaian renowned bass player and musician Opoku Sanaa has received nomination for the 2016 edition of international award ceremony, Black Entertainment Film Fashion Television & Arts (BEFFTA) Awards.
The BEFFTA Awards is Europe’s biggest award ceremony celebrating black and ethnic personalities in entertainment, film, fashion, television and arts.
The eighth edition of the award ceremony which celebrates under one roof film directors, actors, actresses beauty pageants, musicians, fashion designers, journalists, authors, DJs, models, radio personalities, TV personalities, sports personalities and many others was hosted by legendary Hollywood actor, Dr. Winston George Ellis, and BEFFTA CEO, Dr Pauline Long.
Opoku Sanaa was nominated in the Best Musician Category, while he also competes with Ben Audu, ShekuKanneh-Mason, SaxAngel Gabriel, Mike Aremu, Peter OlatundeAdeshile, NiranObasa, Kelvin Aromana, Martin Chims, Ben Saxxy, Patrick White, Jerry Brown, LekanShobiyi andTerron Murray.
sanaa-2Sanaa has worked with a lot of musicians within Ghana and beyond aside his Bass Solo career.
He launched his maiden album titled, Sound Optics earlier this year at the Accra Mall which received one of the biggest patronage ever. The album launch had wonderful and renowned Musicians, Producers gracing the occasion including CwesiOteng, Trigmatic, Adomaa, FiifiFolson, Kingzkid, AkesseBrempong, Yaw Boakye, Six Strings, PL Crew and many others.
Sound Optics, the 10-track album, all written and composed by Opoku Sanaa features different artistes and producers from Ghana and beyond. It contains diverse music genres ranging from solemn classical ballads, fusion to Afro-pop which appeal to every kind of music fan. Some of the artistes who lent their skills to the album include Nollywood actress and musician, Stella Damasus and her husband, Daniel Ademinokan, CwesiOteng, Joe Mettle, Giovanni and Trigmatic.
Opoku Sanaa is also the founder and President of PL Crew (African Gospel Music Awards Nominee) and the CEO of Bass Phactory Music Consultancy which organizes the annual Bass Clinic Music Festival in Ghana, one of the biggest music festivals in Africa.
It’s hard to imagine anyone that embraces the joy of music more than him.
