Rev. Owusu-Ansah, Kwame Sefa Kayi, Others In RTP Hall Of Fame

Rev. Owusu-AnsahFor the second consecutive year, Big Events Ghana, the Board and Technical Committee of the annual Radio & Television Personality Awards (RTP), will induct into its Hall of Fame, three astute individuals within the media landscape.
The three are Rev Yaw Owusu-Ansah, Kwami Sefa Kayi and Mrs Betty Oppong Apau.
Laureates for the RTP Hall of Fame are personalities who have over the period contributed immensely to the development of radio and TV through their zeal, dedication and hard work.
Rev Owusu-Ansah is one of the leading figures who have been instrumental in the commencement, propagation and growth of Joy 99.7FM and later Adom 106.3FM. He was one of the first on-air preachers who used radio broadcast to change lives and shape society.
kwameKwami Sefa Kayi, a four-time winner of the topmost awards at the RTP awards, has carved an illustrious niche as one of the most revered personalities on radio.
With close to twenty years in radio broadcasting, he commands lots of clout, influence and following within the Ghanaian society.
Mrs Betty Oppong Apau is one of the strong forces behind the progress and sustenance of GBC. She started as a newscaster and rose through the ranks through hard work, patience and dedication.
She was News Editor for a long time and is now the Ag Director of Television of GBC Ghana Ltd.
The fifth edition of the Radio and Television Personality Awards is slated for October 10, 2015 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
The awards honour personalities on radio and television and programmes that excel within a given year.
