Despite scathing remarks by music pundits and the general public about gospel musicians featuring secular artistes on their songs, the phenomenon keeps occurring.
Recently, American gospel singer Tasha Cobbs Leonard has done a song with rapper Nicki Minaj and has received a lot of bashing from the public.
However, less than a week of its released the song is enjoying massive airplay on radio and has had a high Youtube viewing.
The song titled ‘I’m Getting Ready’ talks about one’s closeness to God and dedication to God.
In Ghana some gospel-secular collaborations are: Stella Seal ft. Asrokyemu Hene, Lady Prempeh ft. Asem, Herty Borngreat ft. Sarkodie, and few others.
