MUSIGA did not give me any money or support & my wife also deserted me during my sickness – Prophet Seth Frimpong

Gospel musician, Prophet Seth Frimpong says although he is a member of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), it did not offer him a penny when he was sick and bedridden for a couple of years.
In an interview with KMJ on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, he noted that although he is an active member of MUSIGA and its leaders were well informed about his condition, they did not show any sign of support.
The ‘Okumchola’ hitmaker said prior to falling sick, he had paid up his Union dues and was surprised MUSIGA demanded his list of prescribed medication which he presented to them but did not hear from them again.
Mr Frimpong said he visited their office once but did not like the way things were being managed.
He did not fail to register his disappointed with colleagues in the industry who neglected him during his time of need.
The Dancing Prophet as many described him, however, singled out musician Brother Sammy for praise as the only one who visited and gave him some money.
He disclosed that his wife deserted him in hard times, explaining that she left him when he fell sick. He added that she left their only child uncared for so he had to take the child to his mother while he was sick.
The popular gospel singer said cruel treatments meted out to him by his own legally wedded wife doesn’t make him fancy marriage anymore. The musician said at the initial stages of his ailment, the wife pretended to be showing some care but surprisingly abandoned him until his health started deteriorating to the point where he needed her the most.
He said, his wife turning her back to him on his sick bed for about three years was the worst kind of ‘hell’ he has ever experienced on earth. “I don’t see the need to keep this wedding ring on my finger, because the lady in whose name I wore this ring abandoned me long ago when I was dying…” “My wife abandoned me at a time I needed her the most and it’s my mother who has been taking care of me and the kids for some time now”, the one-time vibrant singer broke down in tears.
“The wedding ring you see on my hand is useless, even if you permit me now, I will remove it and throw it away, because it is of no use to me now,” he emotionally said.
Mr Frimpong said it was a difficult and sad time in his life but he did not lose faith in the word of God which carried him through.
He stated his willingness to help anyone in the industry who needs his assistance because it is God’s gift to him that he cannot deny others.
His fans should expect a new single from him featuring Brother Sammy.
