KC ENTERTAINMENT TO HONOR DANNY NETTEY AT CELEBRATION OF FAITHFULNESS

In the western world, legends are honored, appreciated and celebrated all the time. They are awarded in their various fields of endeavor when they are alive and active. Even when they finally give up the ghost, they still get acknowledgements and recognition.
Celebrating legends posthumously has become the order of the day in our part of the world. Legends die many years before they are celebrated or anything done in their names. KC ENTERTAINMENT, a Christian event promotion and management outfit based in Accra believes it is prudent if legends are honored and appreciated while they are alive and can relish in the accolades, praise and other benefits that come from being recognized as a legend. The company feels it is wrong to wait till a legend dies before praises and accolades are showered on them, when the same can be done whiles they are alive.

Owing to the above, an event dubbed CELEBRATION OF FAITHFULNESS has been put together by KC ENTERTAINMENT to honor a pioneer and legend of contemporary Gospel music, Danny Nettey for his immense contribution to the Gospel music industry and its evolution. The legendary Gospel musician will be the first recipient to be honored by this initiative of KC. The idea, according to organizers is to honor and give legends that are being celebrated a place of honor at the event together with their family and fans.
Danny Nettey’s own songs will be performed by other musicians. He will also be presented with a plaque in recognition of his hard work, success and contribution to the entertainment industry in Ghana. The celebration is also a platform to gather funds in support of the DANNY NETTEY SCHOOL PROJECT.
Danny Nettey took the Ghanaian music scene by storm in the late 90’s and has remained relevant till now. He has released a great deal of albums and his contribution to Gospel music is quite outstanding due to the impact and nurturing of some major Gospel recording and performing artistes.
The tall list of other musicians expected to perform Danny Nettey’s songs includes; the next generational Gospel Ministers, Cwesi Oteng, KODA, Kobby Mantey, Helen Yawson, Joe Mettle, Josh Laryea, Nii Okai, Eugene Zuta among others.
The event is scheduled to come off on Sunday May 17, 2015 at the International Conference Centre at 3pm.
