[#gghOFFBEAT]: ‘RTP Awards Office is in a ‘Chop Bar’ – Prince Tsegah:

The Radio &Television Personality Awards (RTP) was held last week but clearly, sentiments and repartee concerning the awards are stoking fire among media practitioners, the organizers and observers of the awards.
Prince Tsegah, Public Relations Officer of GHAMRO, who is also an on-air personality with Hitz FM, has been castigating the RTP Awards heavily, especially after the event was held.
In his latest chide, he stated on ‘Daybreak Hitz’ on the same station, that, Big Events Ghana, organizers of the annual RTP Awards do not have an office and operate from a ‘chop bar’.
According to him, the firm uses the chop bar as an office because, he once saw the CEO of the firm, Prince Mackay, sharing tickets for the awards at the chop bar.

“I saw him at the chop bar, with many tickets on the table, giving them out.  The Office is in a ‘chop bar,” he bellowed on air.

Response from CEO of Big Events Ghana, Prince Mackay on this was was quite brusque and acerbic.

“Only a fool like Prince Tsegah will think like that. If you meet me at the public toilet giving out a ticket, will you say my office is in a public toilet?” he queried.

Prince Mackay stated that, indeed, he went to eat at ‘Heavy Do’ restaurant and coincidentally, an award presenter had to meet him there for his ticket.
He had more strong words for Mr Tsegah;

“It is cheap and easy for a big guy like that to sit on radio every afternoon gossiping about hardworking people. At 50, he will still be on air gossiping and some of us will be on vacation in Bahamas.”

On whether his firm has an office, he answered; “Yes, RTP has an office at East Legon, close to Ghana Links.”
But wait, there’s more!
Prince Mackay also disclosed that, he understands why his namesake has been going on a tirade against his project in the last weeks.
“The genesis of all these is tied to GHAMRO. As a requirement for organizing an event, I was supposed to pay an  agreed amount of GHc 3,000 to the GHAMRO and Tsegah was the one chasing me for it.
I gave him GHc 1,500 and promised him that, I will pay the rest before the event, but the organization of the event got me extremely busy, so, it was difficult to meet up with him.

This guy kept badgering me over the money, telling me about all his family troubles and how he needed the money badly. At a point, he told me I had disrespected him, so, once he has a platform, he would use it to discredit me.”
