The Nominees for the 2016 VGMAs have been announced with celebrated Superintendent of Police, Kofi Sarpong, leading in the gospel industry sect.
This award scheme seeks to reward music and industry players who have excelled in the field of Ghanaian music and entertainment for the year under consideration.
SP Kofi Sarpong leads in the gospel industry, with a total of four nominations, including the very competitive and enviable Overall ARTISTE Of The Year category.
Other categories he was nominated in include; Album Of The Year, Gospel Artiste Of The Year and Gospel Song Of The Year.
He is followed closely by sensational hip-hop trio – Preachers, and the ‘Zaphanat Paneah’ singer – Nicholas Omane Acheapong, who received 3 nominations each.
