Forget money; Concentrate On The Music – Gospel Musicians Advised

334906664055_6132700059252Gospel musician, Nicholas Omane Acheampong, has advised his fellow musicians to concentrate on their music career and not focus on money.
Speaking on Daybreak Hitz (Showbiz Review) on Hitz Fm, Omane Acheampong told Black I that in his view, gospel musicians should not expect monetary rewards after performing at shows since they are ministers of God.
“In Ghana, gospel is always given an entertainment approach which is absolutely wrong because the entertainment aspect of the gospel songs is very little so there is no way you can expect to make money”.
Known for his hit song ‘Tabita Kum’, Nicholas said secular musicians sing to praise ladies and themselves but gospel musicians sing to praise God therefore their character and attitude should reflect the nature of the God they seek to praise.
“That’s why you hear circular musicians giving themselves titles but as for us gospel musicians, we don’t do that because we are all servants”.
“Whether the circular musicians like it or not we are the ones who pray for God’s protection upon their lives,” he added.
He concluded that, there was nothing more entertaining and rewarding than having Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour.
