A renowned gospel music producer, Charles Sarpong, has accused Cecilia Marfo of being an ingrate.
Speaking on Adom FM’s After Church programme last Sunday, the soft-spoken Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CEBEX burst out that since the ‘Afunumu Ba’ hitmaker became successful; she has refused to pick his calls, adding, “After promoting and INVESTING in her musical career, Cecelia Marfo has failed to show me gratitude.”
Charles Sarpong also disclosed that by dint of hard work and massive INVESTMENT, Cecilia Marfo’s song won the Best Gospel Song of the Year in the 2011 MTN Ghana Music Awards yet “she has turned her back on me.”
“I’m nobody to her but I don’t blame her because the fans out there know her better than me,” he added.
The working relationship between Cecilia Marfo and CEBEX began in 2008 and within 2008 and 2011; CEBEX helped Cecilia Marfo to release two albums.
Her first album titled ‘Faithful’ had hits like ‘Afunumuba’ and ‘Mammere Mangu’.
