Archbishop said:

Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams’ US Inaugural Prayer:

“Heavenly Father we thank you for this historic moment; for we are gathered here by your divine providence to hallow your Name and invoke Your blessings.

We recognize that You are Sovereign and You rule in the affairs of men and give the Kingdom to whomsoever you will. We, therefore, give thanks and commit to Your care and to the charge of Your mighty angels, President-Elect Donald Trump, Vice President-Elect Michael Pence, the incoming Cabinet and their families.

We pray that you will give them divine fortitude and wisdom greater and above that of Solomon and command divine escapes from unexpected and unforeseen crisis and challenges. We pray that you will satisfy President Trump, his cabinet and their families with long life and show them Your Salvation.

We pray that during their term of office the glory and light of the United States of America will shine brighter and brighter unto a perfect day. And Father, we pray that You will move every mountain, obstacle and hill that is before President Trump and this nation; and that You will exalt every valley before them and make every crooked path straight and the rough places plain.

Cause President Trump and his team to soar like an eagle and show this nation a token for good.Father, we ask that you bless America and let America continue to be a blessing to the Nations of the world in Jesus Name.

Amen!”
