An all female worship concert experience is set to hit the City of Accra come 24th September this year.
The event dubbed “Women In Worship” is an annual feature put together by Genet Services with the sole purpose of creating a thundering praise led by women of our land.
Speaking at the press launch on Friday, Mrs Georgina Nettey, founder of Women In Worship said “it’s an event experience we intend to execute with the excellence and mystery that God used in creating a woman. From careful talent selection to production sequence, we are sparing no effect creating an event of excellence”.
Gracefully, the event is not void of a service to society as it seeks to support the global education and sensitization of cervical cancer.
“Every year, we shall also align the event to support courses dear to women; for a woman’s work supports the community. This year, we have chosen to support the global education and sensitization of cervical cancer” Mrs Nettey said.
A series of activities according to organizers will lead the way in the coming days to drive that agenda including outreaches, free screenings and more. According to Mrs Nettey, thier support isn’t limited to that only; they intend to drive fund raising and contribute towards credible research into its cure.
The event is planned to happen at the Perez Dome – Dzorwulo at 4pm and bills seasoned female musicians including Naa Mercy, Ohemaa Mercy, Ntokonzo Mbambo of South Africa, Diana Hamilton, Taggoe Sisters and also feature guests such as Mrs Rita Korankye Ankrah, Madame Joyce Are and other.
