Abena Ruthy walks out of a live interview session at Accra FM

Abena Ruthy yesterday (22nd Jan) walked out of a live interview on Accra FM’s gospel entertainment show, ‘Gospel 360’, hosted by Andy Favored.
Abena Ruthy was on Gospel360 show to promote her upcoming album launch slated for 29th Jan 2017 at 2pm, dubbed ‘Higher Praise‘ at the Exhibition Hall of National Theatre.
The unfortunate incident happened when about 15 minutes into the interview, the host of the show, surprised Abena Ruthy with a birthday song performed by Ghanaian-based Nigerian singer, Minister Igwe. After Minister Igwe’s performance, the host asked Abena Ruthy to hold on briefly while he interviewed Minister Igwe who apparently was also there to premiere his latest single.
Kwasi Ernest, CEO of Media Excel and manager of Abena Ruthy, was unhappy with the switch and became quite upset about why the host would pause the interview with his artiste and promote a Nigerian musician.
Kwasi Ernest argued that host of the show should finish his chat with Abena Ruthy before focusing on the Nigerian because two artistes cannot be promoted concurrently, but his petition was not accepted.  According to the upset manager, no Nigerian presenter would halt an interview with his fellow countryman to interview a Ghanaian.
After attempt by producers to cool down Kwasi Ernest proved futile, Abena Ruthy who also could not disobey her manager, heeded to his order to leave the show for the host to interview Minister Igwe. They (Ruthy & Manager) drove off the radio station’s premise before the show and their interview could end.
