CharterHouse Productions, organizers of the annual Ghana Music Awards has named nominees for this year’s VGMA event.
The Grand launch of the 18th edition of the VODAFONE GHANA MUSIC AWARDS was held on Friday, February 24, at the exquisite Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra.
The launch and announcement ceremony which was strictly by invitation was attended by a tall list of VIP guests in the entertainment industry, artistes and some friends of the awards who took part in social media activations and the Ghana Media fraternity as a whole.
Though with various bribery controversies about the gospel industry this year, the VGMA event is regarded one of the country’s biggest, dedicated to recognize artistes who have made significant impact in their respective music genres.
This year’s list for the Gospel Industry has Nacee leading with 5 nominations, Joe Mettle with 4 nominations, the newbie; Jeshurun Okyere, sweeping 2 nominations (Gospel Song & Gospel Artiste of the year) among the various others who are up for various awards in different categories.
What came as good news to the Gospel Industry, especially among the contemporary gospel folks, is seeing Joe Mettle nominated in the overall artiste of the year category. Certainly this is time to show your support for your favorite artiste.
The race has begun and the only way one can ensure that his/her favorite emerges winner is to VOTE massively for him or her.
The Voting instructions are as follows; to vote for Artiste of the year, text A to 1767 and for Vodafone song of the year text B to 1767 for the Nominees and for the rest of the categories, text C to 1767 and follow the prompt.
